Collections & Subrogation
Kentucky - Indiana - Tennessee - OhioThe collections and subrogation lawyers of Morgan & Pottinger, P.S.C., have been assisting lenders and businesses with collecting delinquent accounts for over 50 years. With this practice covering Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and Ohio, our clients include large and small banks, commercial lenders, savings and loans, credit card companies, auto dealers, finance companies, debt buyers, and insurance companies. M&P’s collection program is efficient and cost effective. We merge the effectiveness of a law firm with the efficiencies of a collection agency to offer our clients a collection firm that is second to none. We were one of the first firms in the nation to realize the need for a computerized collection system that could handle high volume claims efficiently and cost effectively, and we developed a proprietary collection software in the 1980s. Today, we utilize the latest information technology to manage thousands of claims. In 2006, to support the growth of the collections and subrogation practice, a new entity was formed to provide pre-litigation collection and subrogation services, and to support the law practice in those areas. Collection ServicesM&P’s collection services offer a seamless progression from the initial demand letter and telephone contacts through post-judgment recoveries. Within guidelines established by each client, we establishment payment plans with debtors. We present claims in bankruptcies. We file lawsuits to collect unresolved debts. We enforce judgments by garnishments, attachments, replevins, writs of possession, and other court orders. Subrogation ServicesAs part of M&P’s collection practice, our subrogation services for property and casualty insurance companies also realize the benefit of highly efficient information technology. In addition to “pre-legal” contacts and collection efforts, our subrogation services include representing insurers at claims mediations and in arbitration, pursuing claims through litigation, and defending claims raised against our client’s insured. For more information on our collections and subrogation practice and other creditor services, or to discuss your collection matter(s), please schedule a confidential consultation with a collections lawyer at M&P by calling one of our offices, e-mailing us, or filling out our intake form. We handle high and low volume collections for creditors in an efficient and cost-effective manner. |
